SkillsFuture funds represent a financial aid initiative by the Singapore government, designed to encourage individuals towards continuous learning and skill enhancement. This programme is aimed at equipping Singaporeans with the essential resources required to consistently update their competencies and maintain competitiveness in the fast-paced employment market

All Singaporeans aged 25 years and above:

Opening credit $500 – no expiration
One-off Top Up $500 – expire on 31 Dec 2025

All Singaporeans who are 40 to 60 years in 2020

Additional one-off special S$500 creditClaimable for (i) SGUnited Skills Programme, (ii) SSGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme – Company Training, and (iii) SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes, courses delivered by SSG-appointed CET centers, courses that fulfil training requirements for Progressive Wage Model sectors, and Full qualification programmes delivered by Institutes of Higher Learning

The Skills Future Enterprise Credit (SFEC) aims to incentivise employers to pursue initiatives focused on transforming their enterprises and workforce. It offers additional support, above and beyond existing schemes, to eligible employers engaged in efforts to enhance their enterprise and workforce development

In Budget 2024, the deadline to claim the credit for all employers (including those which were qualified previously) will be extended from 30 June 2024 to 30 June 2025.

The UTAP benefit serves as a financial incentive for NTUC members, aiming to lower their training expenses. This initiative promotes skills enhancement among NTUC members.

With this program, NTUC members can benefit from a 50% reduction in course fees, once the government subsidy portion has been deducted.

Eligibility Criteria: 

  1. Learners must be an NTUC member with paid-up union membership before the course commencement, throughout whole course duration and at the point of claim
  2. Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period
  3. Course must not be funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
  4. Unfunded course fee must be S$20.00 and above
    Member must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any
  5. UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course completion

Absentee Payroll (AP) funding is a grant to help defray some manpower costs incurred when you send your Singaporean, Permanent Resident and LTVP+ employees for SSG-funded training. AP funding rate: Flat rate fixed at S$4.50 per hour. Each organisation’s cap: S$100,000 per calendar year.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  2. Trainee is not a full-time national serviceman
  3. Courses have to be fully paid for by the employer

Cash awards are given to encourage eligible workers to undergo sustained training.

Individuals who receive a WSS letter are eligible for TCA if they achieve the Full Qualification and/or courses within the WSS eligibility period stated in the letter.

They are required to:

  1. Passed the course
  2. Achieved minimum 75% attendance
  3. Not barred from receiving government grants
