what is skillsfuture credit?
Introduced in 2015, all Singaporeans aged 25 years and above received an opening credit of $500. You can make use of the SkillsFuture Credit to deepen your existing skills or reskill into new areas outside of your current field.

All Singaporeans aged 25 years and above
- For all Singaporeans aged 25 years and above S$500 opening SkillsFuture Credit does not expire.
- A one-time top-up of $500 was provided to those aged 25 and above in 2020. This top-up will expire at the end of 2025. Can be used for a wide range of SkillsFuture Credit-eligible courses
skillsfuture subsidy - up to 70% upfront funding support
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can enjoy an upfront SkillsFuture subsidy of up to 70% on courses offered by SSG-appointed Training Providers.

CLAIM PROCESS
- Complete the online registration form for your chosen course.
- Receive an invoice for the course fee from James Cook Institute
- Use the invoice to offset course fees with your SkillsFuture Credits on the MySkillsFuture portal
- Any remaining balance can be paid directly to James Cook Institute.
For WSQ-accredited courses at James Cook Institute, trainees qualify for the SSG training grant by meeting a minimum of 75% attendance and successfully passing the required assessment.

- Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) – If you’re under 30 and have unused funds in your PSEA, you can use these to offset SkillsFuture course fees. Any remaining PSEA balance will be transferred to your CPF account when you turn 30. Check your PSEA balance here.
- NTUC UTAP – NTUC UTAP members have up to 50% unfunded course fee support, capped at $250 each year, for courses supported by UTAP. This excludes miscellaneous fees such as GST and registration fee etc
