Eligibility Criteria

SFEC (Budget 2020)

Qualifying Periods

Employers must meet the following conditions over the qualifying period:

  1. Have contributed at least S$750 Skills Development Levy (SDL) over a qualifying period; and
  2. Have employed at least three Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents* every month over the same qualifying period; and
  3. Have not been qualified at any of the earlier periods. 
SFEC Expansion (Budget 2022)

Qualifying Periods

Employers must meet the following conditions over the qualifying period:

  1. Have employed at least three Singapore Citizens (SCs) or Permanent Residents (PRs) every month over the
    qualifying period; and
  2. Have not been previously qualified for SFEC; and
  3. Are not in default of their SDL contributions during the qualifying period and do not have an inactive ACRA status during the qualification process.

Claim Process

Eligible employers* can tap on the one-off $10,000 credit to cover up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses for training courses that are aligned to the Skills Framework and funded by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

EnterpriseSG will notify all newly eligible employers for SFEC via email sent to their registered CorpPass Administrators in April 2022. Employers who qualified will be able to see the $10,000 credit, when they log in to the Business Grants Portal (BGP) and SkillsFuture Singapore’s SFEC microsite in April 2022.

Newly qualified employers under the SFEC Expansion may use their SFEC on supportable schemes applied from 1 April 2022 or training courses that commences from 1 April 2022.

Submission: Enterprise submits the SFEC claim via the Enterprise Portal for Jobs & Skills (EPJS)

  1. Endorsement: Training Provider endorses enterprise’s SFEC claim via the Training Partners Gateway (TPGateway)
  2. Approval: SSG reviews and approves or rejects the SFEC
  3. Claim Disbursement: Enterprise receives approved SFEC claim
  4. Disbursement via PayNow


Note:

If you have sent your foreign employees for SFEC-eligible course(s), you will have to submit your claims via the system manually.
If you have sent your Singaporean/Permanent Resident employee for training, our courses are automatically processed.
