COURSE OVERVIEW

This course equips learners with the knowledge and skills to use a presentation application effectively. It covers fundamental presentation concepts, such as working with different file formats, using built-in productivity features, and understanding various presentation views and slide layouts. Learners will gain proficiency in entering, editing, and formatting text; creating and formatting charts; and inserting and editing pictures, images, and drawn objects. The course also includes applying animation and transition effects, checking and correcting content, and preparing presentations for printing and delivery.

  • Work with documents and save them in different file formats
  • Choose built-in options such as the Help function to enhance productivity
  • Create and edit small-sized word processing documents that will be ready to share and distribute
  • Apply different formats to documents to enhance them before distribution and recognise good practice in choosing the appropriate formatting options
  • Insert tables, images and drawn objects into documents
  • Prepare documents for mail merge operations
  • Adjust document page settings and check and correct spelling before finally printing documents

  • Be able to operate a personal desktop computer.
  • Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (“ES WSQ”) Workplace Literacy (“WPL”) level 4.
  • Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ WPL level 4.
  • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Workplace Numeracy (“WPN”) level
