Job Summary

As an IT Intern (Hardware and Software) at JCI, you will be an integral part of our IT team, responsible for assisting in the management of hardware and software systems. This internship program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in IT support, troubleshooting, system maintenance, and technology implementation within the adult learning industry. You will work closely with experienced IT professionals, gaining valuable skills and contributing to the technological advancement of our organization.

Role & Responsibilities

Hardware and Software Support:

  • Assist in providing technical support to end-users for hardware and software-related issues.
  • Participate in troubleshooting hardware malfunctions and resolving software glitches.
  • Aid in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware devices and software applications.

IT System Administration:

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations.
  • Contribute to system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with the IT team in implementing security measures to protect the organization’s data and systems.

Technology Procurement and Inventory:

  • Support the procurement process for IT hardware and software, including research and price comparisons.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.

User Training and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop user guides and documentation for hardware and software usage.
  • Assist in conducting training sessions for employees on IT-related tools and systems.

Technology Projects:

  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.

IT Security:

  • Assist in implementing security protocols and measures to safeguard the organization’s technology infrastructure.
  • Stay informed about the latest IT security trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a Diploma program, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of hardware components and software applications.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software programs.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Interest in the adult learning industry and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience.

Internship duration can be between 12 weeks to 20 weeks. Interns will be compensated with a competitive stipend, depending on education qualifications. Conversion to permanent position will be considered.
